CarCostCX ranked new minivans by complete monthly cost and found a clear top three, all offering full seating and cargo capacity at below-average monthly cost. The 2026 Kia Carnival LXS ranks first at $1,159 a month, 18.9% below the segment average of $1,429. The 2026 Chrysler Pacifica Select ranks second at $1,173 a month, and the 2027 Chrysler Voyager LX rounds out the top three at $1,200 a month. The margin between the best and worst values in the minivan category is narrower than in most other segments, which means families comparing these three options are unlikely to find a dramatically worse deal by choosing any one over another. Insurance costs run slightly higher for minivans than for compact SUVs, reflecting the larger vehicle size, but that difference is more than offset by competitive purchase pricing across all three vehicles in this top three.
